In September of 2015, the Amaizz team traveled to Western Kenya to meet with local farmers and maize professionals, to validate potential business plans This trip was supported by the Kenyan Ambassador to Israel and the Pears Challenge and was extremely successful. Many different stakeholders, small-holder farmers, local officials from the ministry of agriculture, officials from the cereal board of Kenya, and different farmer cooperatives, were enthusiastic to cooperate and to participate in a potential pilot in the area.
